TikTok personality Rosealee has broken her silence following her viral hotel altercation over the weekend. In a live broadcast, she addressed widespread rumours that she was ganged and beaten by multiple women, firmly stating that the narrative being spread online is false. According to her, the confrontation was the result of the women repeatedly taunting her.
Rosealee explained that she had been staying at the RIU hotel since Friday, where she was seemingly booked alongside fellow TikToker Akeem to be featured in Elephant Man’s new music video. She said that from the moment she arrived, a group of young women, including the one seen in the viral video, began targeting her with insults and mockery. According to Rosealee, the women repeatedly sang Elephant Man’s new song, which features both her and Akeem, in what she described as a mocking tone.
She claimed the taunting was deliberate, noting that she could tell when someone is being friendly versus trying to provoke a reaction. In her words, “Mi know kind gesture from somebody a pass a fass wid yuh.” She said the women also laughed when they saw her and, despite the ongoing provocation, Rosealee said she tried to exercise restraint. She also noted that while Elephant Man took a photo with the group, she declined to be in any pictures with them because of their behaviour.
However, Rosealee said the bullying continued until she finally confronted one of the women when she overheard her say “big back” as she walked past. The comment was found especially hurtful, given her history of being bullied over her weight, and that was when the altercation took place.
“Unuh nah go bully mi pan di app and bully mi inna real life,” she declared during the live, stating that while she may ignore online comments, she refuses to accept bullying in person. After going live to address the alleged harassment, Rosealee began receiving support from viewers who said her actions were justified in the face of bullying.
