Rosealee publicly criticised her younger sister, Lamarsha, for denying her allegations that she was raped by a man known as Jakes. Rosealee went live on social media shortly after Lamarsha spoke publicly, rejecting claims that Jakes assaulted her and instead identifying only one individual, Miguel, as someone she had been intimate with while underage.
During the livestream, Rosealee accused Lamarsha of being untruthful and suggested that her sister was shielding Jakes because Miguel is now deceased. Rosealee stated that she stands by her earlier claims, insisting that Lamarsha was sexually assaulted by Jakes, Miguel and other individuals connected to the family.
In a response, Rosealee said she was willing to swear on her children’s lives that her account is accurate and challenged Lamarsha to make a similar declaration regarding her own statements. Addressing Lamarsha’s description of her relationship with Jakes as brotherly, Rosealee argued that such closeness would mean Jakes was aware of the alleged incidents if Lamarsha’s current narrative were correct.
She maintained that she only became aware of the situation after the fact and said she reported the matter to the police once she learned what had allegedly occurred. According to Rosealee, she accompanied Lamarsha to make a report and was instructed that their mother, Lavern, should return with Lamarsha for follow-up. Rosealee claimed this did not happen because Lavern was herself allegedly involved in the incidents being reported.
Rosealee also spoke about the emotional impact the situation had on her over the years, stating that she struggled with anger toward her sister after learning about the encounters, which she said allegedly took place repeatedly over a period of months. She further claimed that Lamarsha had previously told her she believed she had been drugged during some of the alleged assaults.
During the livestream, Rosealee said she later saw messages that she interpreted as suggestive communication between Jakes and Lamarsha, which she said reinforced her belief that they had been involved. She also alleged that Jakes had relationships with other individuals within Lamarsha’s social circle.
Rosealee went on to claim that Jakes initially denied any involvement but later admitted to her that he had sexual relations with multiple individuals connected to the family when the matter became widely discussed in the community.
