Queen of Dancehall Spice is facing criticism after releasing her new song Hell No. The song rejects taboo sexual acts that are celebrated in the “freaky” category by the younger generation and has been promoted in dancehall music.
The song debuted in her album Mirror 5 in 2024. On Friday, she dropped a high school-themed music video, which may have been an effort to connect with a young audience as she teaches them where to draw the line in the bedroom.
Spice also shared an Instagram post on Monday, urging people to take a stand against such freaky acts and save young people. On Tuesday, Spice returned to Instagram with a post acknowledging the criticism she received for her song and her music video.
Spice stated that she woke up to find some persons claiming she was the wrong person to deliver such a message given her raunchy music career. Some people also took offence to the message, claiming she was “KinkShaming” individuals who were into such taboo activities.
While Spice expressed that she had no intentions to shame anyone, she expressed that there must be a line that should not be crossed in the bedroom. She reiterated that she would not allow any man to urinate on her or spit in her mouth.
“I didn’t even know that something is Called “KinkShaming”. 🤦🏾♀️ To all the Freaks , I’m not trying to shame unu mi love, but I’m sure there’s levels to this and a Stop 🛑 Button . And mi know ano every freak a make man piss inna dem Mouth and Spit pan dem,” she wrote.
She concluded by saying, “ I should still be aloud to say what I want “PISS PAN MI NO BWYO COULD NEVER, OHHHHH NOOOO HELL NOOOOOO” I said what I said, allow me to instill this one into our youth in peace. I thank you bye ✌🏾#HELLNO OUT NOW‼️”
