The drama between Jamaican TikTok creators Rosealee and Akeem has been garnering lots of attention. Their public fallout, combined with Rosealee’s issues at home, led her to reveal sinister suicidal and homicidal thoughts that she sometimes has.
As many know, Rosealee and Akeem had been spending time together and showing signs of a close relationship that many followers seemingly mistook for romance. Fans claim that this closeness blurred the boundaries between staged content and genuine emotion. Social media chatter now suggests Rosealee developed real feelings for Akeem and wanted the relationship to move beyond friendship, but he allegedly declined, causing tensions to explode online.
During a live stream on Tuesday, Rosealee broke down in tears. She accused Akeem of being selfish and of avoiding her while claiming to have been open about her feelings. She said he claimed he was depressed even as she saw him out at clubs and participating in interviews.
Viewers saw her cry and lash out during the broadcast as she recounted a history of betrayals that shaped her responses. Central to the dispute are long-simmering problems in Rosealee’s relationship with a man known on social media as Jakes. Rosealee says she has been with Jakes for about 12 years and that their partnership has been turbulent. She said she is not loved by anyone, not even her mother, and recounted her troubled childhood.
The livestream also included troubling outbursts from Rosealee. She spoke about feeling overwhelmed and pressured to the point where she at times thinks about stabbing her children and Jake to death and then taking her own life.
She publicly accused Jakes in the past of infidelity and of using her money to spend on other women; that scandal, she says, is what pushed her closer to Akeem. Akeem publicly showed her affection after that episode, taking her on dates, giving gifts, and seemingly being emotionally present.
Akeem, for his part, defended his actions and has pushed back against some of the claims made by Rosealee. Akeem, who has been affected by a circulating gay rumour, said he felt deeply hurt when Rosealee also accused him of being gay. He also said she disrespected him on other occasions, even online. Akeem previously condemned the rumour and has expressed pain over the way the fallout has unfolded.
