Jamaican TikTok personality Rosealee, legally known as June Dixon, is facing renewed public criticism following a live-stream incident in which she was heard speaking harshly to her young daughter, Shantau. The moment unfolded during a TikTok live “match” with fellow creator Figure It Out, while viewers watched in real time.
During the broadcast, Rosealee appeared to be speaking to her daughter off-camera. In the exchange, she used derogatory language toward the child, who is believed to be no older than 12. Rosealee repeated the statement, “s**k yuh mumma”, twice and told the girl to move away from her. Moments later, she instructed her daughter to leave the bedroom, telling her to “find yuh yard.” The situation became more troubling when the child responded that she was homeless.
The remarks sparked immediate reaction from viewers, many of whom expressed shock and discomfort in the comments section. Several users condemned Rosealee’s behaviour outright, calling it toxic, disrespectful, and unacceptable. One commenter wrote, “LET’S NORMALISE SPEAKING TO OUR CHILDREN RESPECTFULLY,” while another added, “This is so toxic, and it’s NOT FUNNY OR ACCEPTABLE.”
Not all reactions were aligned. Some TikTok viewers attempted to downplay the exchange, saying similar language was common in their own upbringing or suggesting Rosealee was joking. Others pushed back strongly against that idea, arguing that such treatment contributes to long-term emotional harm and shapes a child’s behaviour. One comment noted, “She’s a product of her environment; you can’t blame her for it,” while another said, “A parent should never speak to a child this way, all in the name of jokes.”
The incident comes against the backdrop of Rosealee’s ongoing issues with the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA). Earlier this year, her children were removed from her care after she made disturbing admissions during live streams about her mental state. Those statements prompted concern among viewers, some of whom contacted authorities. CPFSA later confirmed receiving multiple reports about Rosealee.
Not long ago, Rosealee publicly expressed her desire to regain custody of her children and start over in a new community. She has spoken emotionally about missing them and wanting to provide a stable home.
