The internet is buzzing again after Tory Lanez’s legal team released what they’re describing as suppressed evidence, reigniting the debate around the case that sent the rapper to prison. Tory’s team launched a new website, 36hourslater.com, which lays out audio recordings, witness statements, and claims that challenge the narrative behind his conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
The website features a key audio clip from Sean Kelly, a trial witness who spoke to investigators the night of the incident. Kelly told police he saw a woman, later identified as Kelsey Harris, storm out of the Cadillac Escalade in a fit of rage to confront another woman, Megan. He said the two women began kicking and clawing at each other as they engaged in an intense fight, prompting the driver to get involved.
According to Kelly, Tory remained in the vehicle during the fight until there were explosions. The sound of a gun being fired made Tory intervene. Kelly also described Kelsey appearing to “drop shooting into the car”, suggesting the initial shots may have come from her.

Tory’s team also highlighted the statement from Tory’s own bodyguard, JauQuan Smith, who was driving the SUV. He told the police that he had rushed to separate the two women. However, he said he did not see who pulled the trigger during the chaotic scene.
Another piece of the puzzle came from Bradlie James, Kelsey’s bodyguard, who claimed he overheard Kelsey tell her husband she fired the gun three times in the air before Tory’s intervention caused it to fire twice more.
The site also points to medical reports from three doctors who examined Megan’s injury. Only one doctor classified Megan’s foot injuries as gunshot wounds.

Along with highlighting conflicting reports, the website goes on to provide evidence of Megan’s inconsistent statements to the police. Tory’s legal team shared videos of Megan herself blaming her foot injury on a shard of glass that she stepped on while speaking to the police the night of the incident.
She also claimed that the injuries were not from that night, claiming she reopened an old wound. Later, Megan Thee Stallion blamed Tory for her wounds, saying he shot her. This claim she has remained firm on, and she even called him a “demon” last week while sticking to her accusations.

Despite the inconsistencies and alleged evidence proving Tory is innocent, he was convicted of first-degree assault with a firearm and related charges. Since his 2023 sentencing to 10 years in prison, Tory has faced other struggles, including a recent stabbing incident that sent him to the hospital and reportedly left him with 14 stab wounds inflicted by an inmate.
