Dancehall artiste Valiant threw shade at Malie Donn and Armanii during a recent appearance on popular Twitch streamer Punga’s channel. The stream also featured Jamaican social media personalities Swiss Lee and Hauto, who brought up controversial topics. During the episode, Valiant was asked to name the dancehall artistes who had “fallen off” or were “trash” based on a list provided by Swiss Lee. The list included Malie Donn, Armanii, Skeng, 450, and Pablo YG.
At first, Valiant defended all the artistes on the list, emphasising that Swiss Lee had named strong figures in the dancehall scene. “None of them fall off… Dem a work, and dem a make Dancehall better,” he said, drawing laughter from the group around him. He continued, praising the artistes for representing the culture and calling them “some good dancehall artistes”.
However, the conversation shifted when popular producer Rvssian joined in via phone. Rvssian labelled Valiant a “coward”, prompting a sharper response from the deejay. Valiant then singled out Malie Donn and Armanii as artists who, in his view, had become “trash”.
During the live stream, he also addressed a personal feud with Armanii. The pair once shared the same circle, but somewhere down the line, their friendship turned sour. Valiant revealed that they had a dispute, which escalated after Armanii chose to take the issues to the media rather than confront him directly. At the time, Armanii told him about his mother during a performance that went viral, but was unaddressed by Valiant. Valiant described their fallout candidly, calling Armanii a “dyke” and recalling that he once defended him publicly before the fallout.
The following day, Malie Donn responded to the controversy from the Dominican Republic, where he is currently working. Through Instagram stories, he aggressively warned Valiant and suggested he might have to deal with him physically. Malie Donn referenced a past moment when Valiant allegedly pursued him for a collaboration and referred to him as a “b**ty boy”. He also shared a voice message from Valiant, in which the deejay could be heard telling him to contact him once he finished his current commitments.
Malie Donn also called Valiant “Badmind”, saying that he was envious of Armanii because Armanii got a collaboration with Malie Donn, which he was chasing. He said Valiant saw that the song they did together turned into a hit, which made him badmind.
