A student was arrested after leaving another teen bloodied in the halls of a Virginia high school. This was the aftermath of a fight in Fairfax County between two classmates that led to one of them being stabbed. Local officials confirmed that one teen sustained life-threatening injuries during the altercation, which was caught on camera.
Graphic videos of the stabbing inside West Potomac High School, located in northern Virginia, have been circulating on the internet. The first video begins with the stabbed victim, dressed in a red shirt, punching the suspect, who is wearing a black shirt. The suspect is on the ground while he is being pummeled by his classmate. Another student intervenes, shoving the one in the red shirt.
This leads to a fight between the third student and the stabbed victim, who launched at him for shoving him. Students can be seen gathered in the halls, watching the fists fly. The suspect quickly stands and intervenes, which appears to be when the student gets stabbed.
He can be seen mainly using one hand to deliver blows to the student’s torso. Shortly after, the stabbed victim runs away. The second video of the school stabbing shows the student lying on the ground in blood. While the identity of the injured student was not revealed, authorities confirmed that he is 16 years old. Officials said that he was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries but is now in a stable condition.

The suspect has only been identified as a 15-year-old boy, who has since been arrested. The teen is now facing a charge of malicious wounding. Fairfax County Police Department reported that the fight occurred around 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday. The viral video shows the suspect gripping a knife, and police later retrieved a knife at the scene.
Police questioned the third student, but Police Chief Kevin Davis expressed in a statement to reporters that it is unlikely he will be charged in the incident. After the stabbing, the school proceeded as normal, with students attending their classes.
