Vybz Kartel is getting ready to take his Gaza fans into the new year with a bang with his Freedom Street Concert. The World Boss was seen rehearsing for the highly anticipated event in a short video that was shared online and has since been circulating.
The video features him vigorously singing Touch A Button Nuh with prominent selector MC Nuffy adding to the energy. A different clip shows him performing another one of his classics, So Me A Say, while shirtless. Vybz Kartel addressed his fans after his four-hour-long rehearsal ended and showed that he was drenched in sweat.
Following his release from prison, fans have expressed concerns regarding whether or not the Dancehall icon will be capable of performing due to his health issues. His health was questioned again when he fell ill after performing at the popular club Meca. The Dancehall artiste was rushed out of the club, but Vybz Kartel later explained that he felt unwell due to the poor ventilation in the club.
At the time, the entertainer promised his fans that he would be able to perform for three hours at his concert, and the energy he showcased in the short clips seemed to be proving that he would be in good shape on New Year’s Eve.

However, despite the four-hour-long session, many of Vybz Kartel’s hits were not able to fit into the rehearsal time frame, revealing that fans would not be treated to some of the songs they love. Producer Skatta Burrell, who was at the rehearsal, shared this information online with fans and even asked them to share their favourite songs so that they could be included.

While the rehearsal garnered many positive responses, one social media personality took to the internet to share her dissatisfaction with the video. In a short video, social media personality A’mari expressed that it was best to have kept the rehearsal private because he was embarrassing himself. A’mari also shared her belief that he was not “the real Vybz Kartel,” and that he was wasting his time.
