As Vybz Kartel’s highly anticipated Freedom Street concert continues to draw closer, fans are buzzing about the grand event. Vybz Kartel has ignited more excitement when he revealed two more entertainers who will be taking the stage.
An interview with TVJ Smile Jamaica’s morning show led the dancehall icon to reveal two of his secret performers: Bounty Killer and Masicka. Dancehall veteran Bounty Killer was VybZ Kartel’s mentor in the earlier stages of his career. Additionally, Masicka hails from Portmore, just as Vybz Kartel does.
His stellar lineup continues to grow with prominent dancehall stars, enticing music enthusiasts. Days ago, the deejay announced that dancehall artiste Jah Vinci would also be performing. Vybz Kartel rounded up the former members of his circle, which promises fans a historical trip down memory lane to the early 2000s when Vybz Kartel’s Gaza empire released many hits.
However, Vanessa Bling, formerly known as Gaza Slim, would not be at the event due to prior engagements. Vybz Kartel indicated that it was sad that the singer could not make it.
His slew of entertainers scheduled to perform on December 31 includes Popcaan, Lisa Hyper, Shawn Storm, Sheba, Tommy Lee Sparta, and Gaza Indu, Spice, Shatta Wale, Skillibeng, Likkle Vybz, Likkle Addi, Chronic Law, and renowned American rapper Busta Rhymes. He also hinted that there may be more international performers. As for Vybz Kartel, who is expected to open and close the show, he is scheduled to give a three-hour performance.
