Vybz Kartel is fully locked in with fiancée Sidem Öztürk, and no one can separate them. The dancehall star confirmed this when he spoke passionately about his love life in a recent interview that is turning heads.
While in New York, ahead of his highly anticipated concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Vybz Kartel stopped by the Breakfast Club. During the interview, he was asked if it was challenging to resist the temptation of other women now that he is back on the road.
In response, he expressed that while he does flirt with women because of his brand, no woman can drive a wedge between him and Sidem.
“I flirt with the girls, I’m Vybz Kartel…nobody can get out, Sidem; only she can get out herself by messing up. But no girl on the planet can get her out of my life,” he said.
Cheating rumours floated around in the past, one of which involved emerging dancehall artiste Sandra Rose. While the deejay did not address them directly, he shut those speculations down when he was later seen booed up with his fiancée as they flaunted their love online.
More drama surfaced when Mon Cherie, a recording artiste with whom he previously collaborated, repeatedly tried to stir the pot with allegations that something had happened between them while he was in prison and released a voice message. However, Vybz Kartel has ignored all her allegations, and his fans appear to be unfazed by them.
Some of his fans initially disagreed with his choice of partner, encouraging him to rekindle a relationship with Tanesha ‘Shorty’ Johnson, one of the mothers of his children with whom he had a years-long relationship. However, while Vybz Kartel expressed his respect for her, he remained firm on his decision that the ship with her had sailed, and now he is riding off into the sunset with his soon-to-be Turkish bride.
Vybz Kartel recently confirmed that he and Sidem, whom he met while incarcerated, are making wedding plans for this year. He did not give fans a timeline of when the wedding is expected to occur, but the announcement excited his supporters.
