Social media personality Akeem Dunbar, popularly known as World Dawg, has shared that he was charged with the death of his friend in the Florida shooting incident. World Dawg lashed out at the family of his descent friend, Joe, after apparently discovering that they were making negative remarks about him online.
During the Monday Livestream, World Dawg explained that Joe’s relatives blamed him for Joe’s death and influenced Florida law enforcement to charge him with the murder. In frustration, he mentioned that Joe’s relatives visited a detective and influenced them to release the suspects they had and charge him instead.
World Dawg said, Pan the internet and wah paint a bad picture bout mi; unuh fi mek the people dem know seh unuh guh dung a the detective office and mek police mek everybody walk free and charge mi fi mi friend murder.”
He reflected on when he was crying for his life on the street after being shot alongside his friend, who was gunned down. In mid-October, the police were alerted about a shooting around 3:30 a.m. The incident occurred in Miramar, Florida, and while Joe was killed, World Dawg was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
According to a report, the police only found shell casings at the scene when they arrived. The report detailed that they were later notified that one of the victims was at Memorial Regional Hospital and later found the other dead.
“Mi pay fi funeral and mi standup out a bombocl**t door, cah si mi friend,” World Dawg said, explaining that he covered Joe’s funeral expenses, but he was not able to go inside. He stated that he had to remain outside, observing from afar while hiding under a tree due to the allegations made against him.
As he continued, he mentioned that he could be sentenced to 25 years in prison if he is found guilty of Joe’s murder.
