After the explosive confrontation between TikToker Annie and her boyfriend Yankee’s landlady, the landlady has spoken out, offering her side of the story.
It is alleged that she issued Yankee an eviction notice because he repeatedly violated the agreed-upon terms of his stay. Noise disturbances were reportedly a major issue. The landlady claims that Yankee’s past and present girlfriends are boisterous, and the noise affects other tenants in the building. Annie was accused of doing loud live streams during her visit.
Tensions also reportedly arose over shared household spaces. Annie allegedly made comments about not wanting to use a refrigerator that the landlady also uses. The landlady described Annie’s behaviour as disrespectful and explained that while she allowed Yankee to use the fridge, she still relied on it occasionally when her own main refrigerator was full.
Cassandra, the landlady’s sister, added that the final straw came after Annie made comments about the landlady during a live stream posted online. In it, Annie claimed that the landlady wanted a sexual relationship with Yankee, a claim the landlady has apparently firmly denied as false.
While Annie refrained from naming the landlady in the video, some people reportedly figured out her identity and went to her about the situation. Cassandra said that her sister knocked on the door, questioned Yankee about the video, and told him she had to leave. Annie then allegedly grabbed scissors, and the landlady reached for a broom in self-defence.
Later, the landlady reiterated the same explanation, adding that she intended to destroy her furniture inside the residence with the broom. She emphasised that it was not to harm Annie, which contradicted Annie’s previous claims.
The landlady also spoke about her initial decision to allow Yankee to stay. She said he did not pay a security deposit or rent upfront, but she agreed out of kindness, as a mother herself. His mother allegedly paid half the rent two weeks after he moved, and the remainder was paid by his mother. Since then, she claims his mother has been handling his rent, while he has contributed nothing.
