A disturbing video is circulating on X showing the murder of a young woman by a group of women said to be her friends. The incident, which unfolded recently in Atlanta, has ignited outrage on social media.
Several posts have identified the deceased as Miya. The details surrounding her death indicate that Miya was hanging out with a group of girls and other friends. She and the women were travelling together in the same vehicle when they came upon the traffic light. Miya allegedly exited the car and was dancing in front of the vehicle while they waited at the stoplight.
Her so-called friends then deliberately stuck her with the vehicle when the light changed to green. The video shows Miya bending over in front of the vehicle as she allegedly twerked. In a split second, the driver accelerated directly into her. The car did not stop after the impact. Instead, it dragged her body several feet before fleeing the scene, leaving Miya in the middle of the road.

According to those close to her, Miya had expressed unease earlier that day about the group she was with. One friend shared a screenshot of a text where Miya wrote, expressing regret for not riding with him instead, “She told me the vibe felt off,” he said in a post that has since gone viral.

Additional posts from the friend indicated that before the incident, Miya reportedly showed up at a spot with three women. The friend was also at the spot, and it was after Miya left with three girls that she sent him the message. He said she told him that she noticed something was suspicious about two of the women.

Additionally, another post accused a woman in a pink outfit, who was reportedly one of the females Miya was hanging with, of being the driver. At the time of writing, there has been no official statement from Atlanta police regarding arrests or charges in connection with the case.

The video sparked an outpouring of shock, grief, and anger on social media. One user wrote, “They were sitting at the light and ran her over when it turned green… These girls are really ugly inside.” Another added, “Everybody in that car needs to be charged with vehicular homicide.”
Some online commentators suggested jealousy or premeditated malice may have played a role in the incident. “B**ches will label you their friend and hate your guts,” one tweet read.
