Thanksgiving is not off to a good start for Ray J, who is now behind bars after he allegedly pointed a gun at his estranged wife and threatened to shoot someone else. The intense exchange was captured on an unhinged live stream early Thursday morning.
The incident began with Ray J complaining to his viewers about having “the worst Thanksgiving in the f**king world.” He was streaming from his Los Angeles home, where his kids were sleeping, and several other people were present. His reason for labelling the holiday that way stemmed from his claiming that someone was trying to take his children and that he had been receiving threats. During his rant, he insisted that no one would take his kids on Thanksgiving.
At some point afterwards, he allegedly picked up a handgun from a table and loaded the pistol, according to TMZ. The media said the live stream captured him taking up the weapon and then warning, “If these n***as step foot close to this door, I’m going to blow this f***ing sh*t away, bro.”
Ray J disappeared from the stream and got into a heated verbal confrontation with someone. He could be heard shouting at the person off-screen, ordering them to leave and accusing them of trespassing. It was at that point that Princess Love entered the room he was streaming in, and Ray J followed her. She told him that she was taking their children, which apparently made him angrier. When she left the room, Ray J was on her heels, and it appears the confrontation worsened during that time.
Shortly after, when she was seen again, she was holding their daughter, Melody, and she repeatedly accused Ray J of pointing a gun at her. However, he denied it and claimed she and her cousin were drunk. Princess responded by calling him a “woman abuser.
The situation continued to get worse after 2 people, a woman and a man, entered the scene. When the man confronted Ray J, the argument intensified, with Ray J shouting, “I’ll shoot the f**k out of you.” Raj Jay abandoned the camera, making it impossible to see but very easy to hear him issuing threats like, “I’ll kill you,” and “Get out of my house before I shoot you right now.” I got a gun on me.”
As if things could not get any worse, a child starts crying during all the chaos. Soon after, approaching police sirens join the background sounds. Reports say officers were called about a possible domestic violence incident and arrived around 4 a.m. They cleared the residence and took Ray J into custody. Before the stream ended, Princess appeared to explain the situation to the police, saying, “My son told me there was a gun on the table.”
