Jamaican dancehall artiste Kraff has released a new single titled My Type. The renowned artist dropped the song on YouTube on March 17, 2025, and My Type has been gaining momentum as it climbs the trending chart. Within 19 hours of its release, the song claims the 25th spot on the chart with over 53,000 views up to publication.
My Type was produced by BuduWxrld, DJ Mac and Raheem Wid The Book. The music video was filmed and directed by Shane Creative and 444. Others who contributed to the creation of the song include BlacksTheMan, who handled the composition with BuduWxrld, and BlackSpyda (Masta Shifu), who mixed and mastered the single.
The Jamaican deejay starts the track with lyrics about stunning women who have caught his attention as they pursue him. He goes on to express that he is interested in “freaks”, and since the women are interested in him and his “sinner” lifestyle, the demons would come alive.
He promises to treat his woman to the finer things if she performs exceptionally well in the bedroom. At the beginning of the music video, there is a scene of Kraff and several women. As the song gets raunchy, so does the music video, showing women dancing provocatively in skimpy outfits.
The scene changes from him chilling in a car with them and them doing risqué poses while throwing sultry looks at the camera to him dancing outside. The official audio release of My Type comes about a month after a part of the song was leaked on the internet.
Fans are happy that the deejay gave them the full track and responded to the song with praises. “Budu dem ago shake up 2025; we bring dancehall to the global scene,” one fan said.
“After a month of being leaked, yesss, Kraft is worth it, though the baddest song on the riddim fs nah care who disagrees,” another fan wrote.
