As investigators continue to unravel the events leading up to the deaths of Zaria Khadejah Carr and her husband, Shamarcus Jameal Carr, new details reveal a chilling digital trail of distress and confrontation just hours before the tragedy.
Zaria, 27, was found unconscious in her Twin City, Georgia, home on the night of June 14, following a domestic disturbance call. Reports confirmed her death and noted that her husband and car were missing before he was also found dead after shooting himself.
In the hours leading up to their deaths, the couple’s social media painted a disturbing picture of turmoil and foreshadowed the tragedy.

In her final post, made just hours before her death, Zaria, known as “The Dutchess Dior” to her more than 35,000 followers, shared a haunting message: “I really don’t know what to do… but I need help before I lose my life or freedom! My kids need me!” In the comments, she admitted something had taken a dangerous turn, writing, “This mf done got on the dumb s**t, so if I die, somebody needs to know.”
That same evening, Shamarcus, known online as “The Frenchman” for breeding French bulldogs and followed by over 44,000 users, went live at 7:43 p.m. on Facebook. In the now-circulated livestream, he is seen arguing with Zaria. The two discuss infidelity and frustrations in their relationship. As tensions rise, Zaria grabs his phone, laughing, before the stream abruptly ends.
Less than two hours later, police found Zaria unresponsive. Shamarcus was not at the scene. Later that night, just after 11 p.m., authorities in Wayne County spotted Zaria’s 2021 Dodge Challenger. During an attempted traffic stop, Shamarcus reportedly shot himself inside the vehicle. Shamarcus was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is now piecing together the incident, and an autopsy is pending for Zaria.
