Philanthropist Andrew “Natia” Burger has seemingly issued a threat toward Jakes after the TikToker declined to join his livestream. The tense moment unfolded when Natia tried calling him during the stream, hoping to bring him on for a discussion.
Natia was part of the group of supporters who helped with the ongoing construction of Jakes’ home, reportedly giving him $400,000. During the call, Natia told Jakes he had been trying to reach him all night, urging him to join the live. Jakes, who is currently out of the country, explained that he would be returning on Friday and suggested they talk then at their usual meeting spot. As Natia tried to respond, the call suddenly disconnected, and that appeared to set him off.
After the call ended, Natia threatened Jakes, saying he would send a group of men to page him first. “Jakes, mi ago mek some man come link yuh before me come link yuh,” he said. He described Jakes’ refusal to join the live as disrespectful and insisted he was not seeking “a hype” from him. According to Natia, he only wanted to discuss the house, as people had been reaching out for updates on the project he “invested in.”
Natia added that he never pressured Jakes or visited the house regularly because Jakes had been progressing on his own. He said his help came from a genuine place, but felt Jakes was now behaving “hype.” He made it clear he did not need Jakes to build his platform, as he already had his own audience.
Jakes later addressed the situation, saying the entire issue was unnecessary. He referred to Natia as a friend and explained that he missed the livestream call because he had a long, tiring day and went to take a nap. When he woke up, he reached out, but Natia did not answer. It was only afterwards that he learned of the comments Natia made. Jakes said the reaction was uncalled for and stressed that he has always shown Natia respect.
Notably, Natia attempted to walk back his remarks afterwards, saying they were still friends, would continue making content together, and that he is all about spreading love, not violence.
