Dancehall entertainer Jada Kingdom is facing heavy backlash online after a heated response to a woman who asked her for financial help during a live stream began circulating across social media.
The controversy started while the artiste was interacting with fans live when a woman, who said she was a single mother, reached out asking for assistance. Instead of simply declining, Jada responded sharply, making it clear that she had no intention of helping anyone.
According to the entertainer, if she is going to help anyone, it would be her own mother first. She said her mother is also a single parent who needs help. The singer also explained that she is trying to save her money for the future because she believes that when she gets older, no one will be there to help her.
During the rant, Jada became visibly frustrated and began using expletives, saying that when she needed help, no one gave her any money. She also accused some people who ask her for assistance of later turning around and criticising her online. “No, I don’t fking care. Go ask somebody else. F**k you, b**ch,” she said at one point.
The entertainer went on to say that she is not helping anyone else this year, explaining that the last time she offered assistance was to hurricane victims late last year. According to her, that support was given anonymously because she did not want to be part of what she described as a “competition” among people publicly showing their charity.
“2026 nobody ask me for sh*t,” she continued. “I don’t give a f**k. Go sell dat cooch.”
Jada also criticised people she described as ungrateful, jobless and too dependent on others for support. She said she helped many people between 2022 and 2025, but claimed most of them remained in the same situation because they lacked the drive to improve their lives.
According to the artiste, those experiences left her regretting some of the help she gave in the past. “Mi did kind, mi nuh kind nuh more… mi nuh care who wah vex,” she said.
The comments quickly sparked debate online, with thousands of users sharing their opinions. Some felt the artiste had every right to refuse, while others said the way she spoke to the woman was unnecessary.
One user wrote, “This is who people make ‘famous.’” Another commenter defended the singer, writing, “Jada right, dem people yah beg too r*ss much.”
Others felt she could have handled the situation differently. “A simple no would’ve been better,” one person wrote, while another added, “She never had to diss her suh.”
Some users also pointed out that the artiste did not have to respond to the comment at all. “Mind u… she never haffi read the comment,” another person wrote.
Following the backlash, Jada addressed the situation again, telling critics that there are far more serious issues happening in Jamaica that deserve attention, including children being killed and women being kidnapped and raped. She also argued that many of the people criticising her online are not helping anyone themselves.
The entertainer also revealed that even though she made those statements, she still ended up helping someone that same night. According to her, she sent a person US$400 because she could not ignore their situation.
Still, Jada maintained that she is tired of people constantly asking her for money. She added that she does not care about the criticism being directed at her, and she wants to be left alone.
