Social media personality Rosealee has stirred fresh drama online after sharing a series of intimate-looking videos featuring her and her former partner Jakes.
The clips, which were recorded inside a bar, show Jakes getting physically close to Rosealee despite their public feud. In one video, he is seen hugging her from behind with his face buried in her neck. She tells him to let her go, reminding him that she now has a man, Akeam. Despite her protests, he keeps his arms around her.
In another clip, Jakes again has his arm around her as they face each other. Rosealee puckers her lips as if inviting a kiss, and he leans in with a pucker of his own, appearing to accept the invitation. However, Rosealee laughs, pulls away, and walks off.
The videos were recorded by Rosealee’s friend, Mussu, who can be heard in the background saying that the footage would be useful for the future, particularly when Jakes speaks negatively about Rosealee.
The clips quickly made rounds online, with many questioning the true nature of their breakup. Some users speculated that the split may have been exaggerated for attention, while others believe lingering feelings still exist between the two.
Rumours circulating online claim the videos were shared in response to Jakes recently showcasing his current girlfriend, Aliyah, who is a friend of Lamarsha. Others suggest the posts were triggered by comments Jakes allegedly made about Rosealee and Akeam.
Jakes has since responded, claiming the videos were recorded between February and March. He dismissed any suggestion of ongoing romantic interest, insisting he was never intimate with her and had no desire to be. He stated that while he understands fans may be disappointed, he was only trying to be kind at the time.
According to Jakes, Rosealee was going through a difficult period, and he chose to support her, especially because they share children. He insisted that despite what the videos may suggest, he had no intention of rekindling anything.
Addressing the near-kiss moment, he claimed Rosealee initiated it and that he only pretended to go along, adding that he would never have actually kissed her. “Come on, June, yuh mouth sh*t up. Mi wudda neva kiss you,” Jakes said.
He also alleged that Rosealee has been pursuing him privately, even claiming she contacted him late at night for hookups. He said he has evidence to support his claims.
Jakes apologised to his supporters for what many viewed as inappropriate behaviour after she degraded and humiliated him. He claimed that his only goal is to maintain peace for the sake of their children.
Meanwhile, Rosealee has hinted that she may release more shocking receipts if Jakes continues to speak negatively about Akeam.
