Social media personality Kizzy Don, born Danielle Benton, has issued a public apology to her supporters and family following the heated online clash involving her mother and sister, Krissy, whose given name is Krystal.
In a 26-second video shared to TikTok, Kizzy appeared to take a more reflective tone, acknowledging her conduct during the now-viral livestream. Addressing her supporters first, she apologised for “getting a bit out of character,” referencing the tense and emotional exchange that unfolded in front of thousands of viewers.
She then extended that apology to her family, stating that she was sorry if anything she had said or done in the past caused hurt. The influencer also opened up about her emotional state, noting that she is still coping with the loss of her baby and is in the process of healing. Kizzy signalled a desire to move forward, suggesting that she hopes to put the public fallout behind her.
The apology has drawn mixed but largely supportive reactions from her audience. Some viewers praised her for taking accountability and choosing peace amid the tension. “Well done Kizzy. Really hope you guys heal and mend back the relationship cause that wasn’t pleasant,” one user commented.
Others encouraged her to prioritise her well-being, with one supporter writing, “Process not perfection, but accountability is everything,” while another added, “We love you Kizzy, stay focused.”
However, not all responses were fully supportive. Some questioned whether the apology was one-sided, with one comment reading, “This isn’t fair, are they apologizing to her??” Others admitted disappointment over the earlier incident but expressed hope that things would improve. “Accept cause I was so disappointed in you… I hope it really gets better,” another viewer shared.
Meanwhile, a separate video began circulating online a few hours before Kizzy’s apology. In the clip, Kizzy’s mother suggests she has the potential to become a major figure on social media, even surpassing her daughters in popularity. Without naming them directly, she implied that her children did not want her to create content on social media.
“Dem know seh mi ago cramp dem style,” she said, suggesting she could outshine them if she chose to build her own platform.
