Krystal, widely known online as Krissy and the sister of Kizzy Don, was taken to the police station on Thursday after officers arrived at her home in the company of her child’s father, Damion. According to reports, Damion, who has recently been accused by Krissy of physical abuse, made a complaint to the police, prompting the visit.
The incident unfolded while Krissy was livestreaming. She explained to viewers that she had just returned home in the rain with her mother and children when she noticed a police service vehicle waiting outside. She said the sight of the officers, along with Damion’s presence, left her shaken. She added that her eldest child also appeared frightened.
During the livestream, a female officer approached Krissy and informed her that she was required to go to the station. The officer who sounded disgruntled indicated that she was acting on instructions from another constable and that Krissy would be told the reason for her detention upon arrival.
Krissy objected to travelling in the police vehicle, stating that she was traumatised by her recent experiences and did not feel comfortable being in close proximity to Damion. Despite her concerns, she was reportedly told she could not drive herself and had to accompany the officers. At one point during the live stream, Krissy broke into tears, feeling overwhelmed and afraid.
It was later indicated that the matter may be linked to a video circulating on social media involving the two-month-old child she shares with Damion. The clip reportedly shows Krissy’s mother outside Damion’s gate holding the infant and calling for him to take the child. The video had drawn criticism online over how the baby was being handled.
Police explained that Damion was present to assist in identifying the location, but would be dropped off at his parked vehicle nearby. However, Krissy questioned why she was not allowed to drive herself while he was permitted to drive separately.
When Krissy finally got into the police vehicle, a dispute arose when the female officer instructed Krissy to end her livestream. The policewoman warned that she did not consent to being recorded. The livestream was eventually cut.
Krissy’s mother later went live on social media, alleging that the situation was unfair and suggesting bias on the part of the officers. The officers reportedly transported Krissy to the Mandeville Police Station. Some online users found this odd, claiming that the matter may have fallen outside their jurisdiction. Krissy was reportedly released later that day but has not yet publicly addressed the outcome of the incident.
